This Weeks Blog - 9/16/23 We are getting very possitive reports from almost all waters this week.  Striper fishing remains great on the L Amerian and the Delta!  Eastside waters such as E&W Carsons, Rush Creek, Owens River and Hot Creek to name a few, are fishing great. The West Walker is back in shape and fishing well. Don't forget that there are miles and miles of creeks on the west slope of the Sierra that are home to lots of wild Rainbows.   Bass are still wacking poppers and Gurglers on top in the delta sloughs.   Plenty of quality  fishing to be had . . . finally!

About our weekly fishing reports . . .
We begin updating our reports on Friday mornings and finish on Monday depending on how successful we are on contacting our sources.  The hard copy that is available at the store, drops on Tuesdays.

Our reports are derived from both phone calls and the web pages of local guide and fly shop partners*.  The guides who work out of our shop also give us up to date info.  Whenever we are using one of those sources we always will give credit to the individual who contributed the information.  Contrary to what some may believe, it's in the best interest of our partners to give an accurate report, both good and bad.  No guide or fly shop want's a potential customer to be misled as their credibility is most important when operating an outfitting business.

Reports are in most cases updated weekly.  The date shown at the top of each page indicates the last time we added an update.  An update can be a simple as editing stream flows or adding a detailed discussion on the current condition of the particular water.  We begin updating on Friday of each week and complete the report by Monday evening.  Keep in mind that water flows that are shown on each page only reflect the flow on the day the report was edited, however if you scroll down on the page you will find a link for up to the minute conditions.

* We are indebted to our partners that include, The Fly Shop in Redding, Ted Fay Fly Shop, Angler's Edge Fly Shop, The Troutfitter and Todd @ Creekside Lodge for contributing to our reports.
